    Lekar = doctor (ekavica). Treba mi = I need.
  • Где је дом здравља? · Gde je dom zdravlja?
    Where's the health centre?
    Dom zdravlja = the state health centre.
  • Морам да закажем преглед. · Moram da zakažem pregled.
    I need to book an appointment.
    Pregled = an examination; zakazati = to book.
  • Боли ме грло и имам температуру. · Boli me grlo i imam temperaturu.
    I have a sore throat and a temperature.
    Boli me grlo — literally it hurts me the throat.
  • Имам јаке главобоље. · Imam jake glavobolje.
    I have bad headaches.
    Glava = head; glavobolja = a headache.
  • Кашљем већ недељу дана. · Kašljem već nedelju dana.
    I've been coughing for a week.
    Nedelja = both a week and Sunday. Nedelju dana = for a whole week.

    I have a cold.
    Prehlada = a cold; prehlađen = having a cold.
  • Алергичан сам на пеницилин. · Alergičan sam na penicilin.
    I'm allergic to penicillin.
    Alergičan na plus the object form. A woman says alergična.

    Protiv plus the genitive = against; bolovi = pains.

    How many times a day should I take it?
    Piti lek = to take medicine, literally to drink it.

    Is this available without a prescription?
    Izdavati = to dispense; bez recepta = over the counter.

    Where's A&E / the emergency department?
    Hitna pomoć = emergency services; hitno = urgent.

    Thank you, doctor.
    Doktore is the vocative — the form for addressing someone. To a woman: doktorka.
